So I took some time off from working on Edgar to practice some low-poly prop modelling & texturing. Top is the render, bottom 2 are the ref images. Do you think I need to adjust the spec map?

OOOOOOOOhhhh NIIIIIIIICE... well done! ya maybe a tad shinier, with a little more high frequency detailing/noise/ scratches? But, looks really good! wireframes? Was this done in 3dmax? maybe apply a normal map on the bullets? :)

Thanks! No, I did it in xsi :(... Next time, I'll remember to do it in 3ds max. I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be an easy way to bake AO in Max though.
ReplyDeleteAlso, There's already a normal map on the bullets. I guess it can only go so far with a grid... I'll go in and add more spec stuff tomorrow :). Thanks for the crit!
